• A minimum of three and maximum of five submissions. No application fees. CAA will retain a 30% commission on the selling price (which includes 15% to the Town of Haymarket).
• CAA requires artists to either volunteer at the Market for one shift (2.5 hours), or donate an original item valued at $25 or more.
Submission process
• Ensure all submissions are “family-friendly” and are priced at $100 or less.
• Note that items must fit on a three-foot table and/or within three square feet of wall space.
• Complete this form.
• Attach artist process statement (describing how works of art are created to ensure they are original), and digital images (see instructions) to this form.
Digital images should be saved in a JPG format.
• Number-
o 2D Art: 1 JPG for each entry
o 3D Art: up to 2 JPGs for each entry to show it from two different angles, if needed.
• Ensure the details of your image are visible when viewed at a large size. Image should show artwork only and NOT include an added black background, matting or the frame.
• Maximum size of each JPG file is 5 MB. (To determine the file size, close your editing program, highlight the file, and select “Get Info” or view “Properties.”)
• Label image files as: LastnameFirstname_Title_medium (“SmithJohn_Sunset_oil”)
Commission information
• CAA retains a 30% commission of the selling price. CAA will mail commission checks by the end of January. Any artwork left in the gallery for 30 days after the pickup date with three attempts to contact the artist will be considered a donation to CAA.
